Students for a Free Tibet- India set up a booth during Kalchakara 2012 at Bodh Gaya.
This year Kalchakara prayer was special as it received more than 1.5 lakh people from different parts of the world and around ten thousands Tibetans for inside Tibet.
SFT-India staff along with members of SFT-delhi and volunteers spent almost 15 days in Gaya to spread message of Lhakar movement, Nomad Rights campaign and Tech Training.
A special discussion on ‘Lhakar- Tibetan Freedom Movement’ was organised in which Tendor, SFT International Director, Free Tibet Activist Shingza Rinpoche and Tenzin Tsundue took part as speakers. The discussion was started by observing candle light vigil for those Tibetans who sacrificed their lives by putting themselves fire to protest against Chinese Communist Regime in Tibet. SFT also succeeded in organizing some of the Tech training which included mobile and internet security training for Tibetans.
We felt fortunate to have Hundreds of Tibetans from inside Tibet who visited our stall with tears in their eyes and hope in their hearts. This was the most valuable gift for us and strengthened our faith that one day we will be together when Tibet will be Free.
